1. Traits
The 188B Business visa – Investor stream is a temporary visa for 5 years and is ideal for people who want to make a designated investment of at least A$2.5 million in a state or territory of Australia.
2. Conditions
– Be under 55 years of age, unless the nominating state or territory certifies that the applicant will make an exceptional economic benefit.
– Score at least 65 points in the test
– Submitted a Letter of Interest for which you have received an invitation to apply
– Be nominated by an Australian State or Territory government
– Have had business and personal net assets of at least AUD 2.5 million for the last 2 fiscal
– You must invest AUD 2.5 million in Australian state or territory bonds before your visa is granted.
– You must have at least 3 years of experience managing a qualifying business or “qualifying investments” and have demonstrated a high level of management skills.
– For at least 1 out of 5 fiscal years, you have:
+ Manage a qualifying business in which you hold 10% of the shares; or
+ Manage “qualifying investments” of at least AUD 2.5 million

– Ownership in the business
– Deposits
– Stocks or bonds
– Real Estate
– Gold
– Lending to businesses
3. Interests
– Carry out business and investment activity in Australia
– Stay in Australia for a maximum of 5 years
– Full right to work and study
– Leave and re-enter Australia as many times as you want while the visa is valid
– Bring eligible members of your family with you
